Luther families are invited to La Palma's Red Ribbon Week Challenge this Saturday, October 22, at Central Park, 7821 Walker St, La Palma. The free pancake breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m., and prizes will be awarded to all students who attend.

The Reflections Art Program is here, and this year's theme is 'Show Your Voice'. All Luther students are encouraged to participate, and they are reminded that entries must be submitted by October 25.

Luther School will celebrate Halloween with a costume parade at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, October 28, and parents are welcome to attend! As you and your child prepare for the parade, please keep the following costume guidelines in mind:
* Students who wish to participate should wear their costume to school.
* Students may not wear a mask that covers their entire face.
* Students may not bring weapon-like props or use bloodlike make-up.
* Students should be able to get their costume on and off without assistance.
* Students may bring a change of clothes for after the parade.

Steve Luther Elementary School will be closed on Friday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

Luther School will be closed for Thanksgiving Recess from Monday, November 21, thru Friday, November 25. School will resume on Monday, November 28.
